MAY 2018

Green is the color of the day and sun is the favorite light fixture.

The riding season has finally begun, hopefully it continues until November.

We hope to be able to ride and see many of you during this riding season.  We have started our round of Chapter Socials and will continue until we have seen you all.  Of course, if here is time we might do that twice this year.

APRIL 2018

April showers bring May flowers-------------

April snows bring unhappy GWRRA MN & ND members

Looking at the calendar April weather hasn’t stopped any event from taking place.  If need be, we jump onto the 4-wheels and go!

Be sure to read the newsletters of the other Chapters.  There is a lot of good information and fun pictures there for you to read and enjoy.

Keep up the good work with weekly updates from your Chapters.  It is one way to keep us informed when new events pop up.

We also appreciate that members are contacting Chapter Directors across the District when something new and interesting has been read or seen.   It is all a part of a great communication system!

We hope to see you at the GWRRA MN & ND District Spring OPS meeting on April 14, 2018, 9:00 am at Squeaky’s Bar & Grill, Hutchinson, MN The Chapter of the Year will be announced and  members of the District Team will have information for you to hear.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

As many of you know this month is special for both of us as we share our St. Patrick’s Day birthday.  This year Joe gets to be Ole’ Four Score.  I did that last year.  He can chase me but he can’t catch up.

Besides Ole’ Four Score. This year our birthday will be special for another reason.  We will be spending it with Chapter R.

The month is also special because we begin Daylight Savings Time this weekend, 3/11 and Spring begins on March 20th.  This brings us closer to riding season in Minnesota & North Dakota.  A season we all look forward to and enjoy.

Soon bikes will be checked to make sure all is ready for the riding.  T-CLOCS completed and all of the maintenance finished for a safe ride.

The GWRRA MN & ND District has had as great non-riding season with all of the events and activities continuing through the winter.  Now plans are made and continuing to be made for the riding season.

Participation is still what makes the Chapter and District fun and successful!  We are so pleased to be District Directors of the MN & ND District.

Be careful.  Whether you are on 2, 3 or 4 wheels March weather can be tricky!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY

As we have had to decide whether to wear a wind breaker or a parka during January, it does seem soon for the first month of 2018 to be over.

It still amazes us how busy the GWRRA MN & ND District Chapters are even when it is cold.  We do acclimate each passing year.  (We know—we, have acclimated 159 of between us).

We have started 2018 learning that life is not fair.  Our thoughts and prayers are to the members who are dealing with the unfairness heartbreak of life.

Read the information that is sent you about the GWRRA changes.  This information will continue during the year.  Your District Membership Enhancement Coordinator, District Educator, Motorist Awareness Coordinator and Medic First Aid will have the best information for any questions you may have.  And as usual, we take questions also: 507-242-74074

Be sure to check out the online registration for our 2018 Rally.

Enjoy the Journal,

Joe & Jan

HAPPY NEW YEAR  2018

As the New Year begins we know we will face challenges and a newness to GWRRA.  Working together and having patience is going to be a good way to do this.  When you hear that in something has changed/being done differently any program please contact us so we can go to the right people to verify what you have heard.

Let’s all have a good year.
