Joy and I would like to take a moment to say “THANK YOU” to Bruce & Barb Beeman for a job well done during their tenure as District Directors. Bruce & Barb did their best to carry on the new tradition we have been learning from our past MN District Directors – bringing out the FUN part of our GWRRA Motto, “Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge”. We wish Bruce & Barb our best in their new position of Region E Directors.

We would also like to extend a big “THANK YOU” to Tom & Sue Brennan. As District Treasurers, Tom & Sue were charged with keeping the District finances under control. We’re guessing that might not have been as easy as they made it seem! We also need to say thanks for all the work they did at our past Rallies, from organizing/working the Registration area to making sure all the expenses were taken care of in a timely manner. We wish Tom & Sue well in their new role – JAM (Just A Member)!

There is also a link to a pdf version of the Rally Flyer that you can print and share. It may seem like July is a long way off, but it will be here before you know it.

The Spring Ops Meeting will be held Saturday, March 31st at the Holiday inn Alexandria, the host hotel for the MN District Rally. The hotel has graciously extended our July rate of $99.99 per room for the March meeting. The hotel has set aside a small block of rooms for us. If you plan to arrive on the 30th and are staying at the hotel, please be sure to ask for the Gold Wing room rate when making your reservation.

A copy of the Meeting Agenda will be sent out in advance so that you have a chance to review. At the meeting, we’ll cover the Rally in more detail and figure out where each Chapter would like to help. New ideas for events are welcome! We’ll need a head count for the meeting room so an RSVP would be greatly appreciated. You’ll be on your own for lunch.

Remember, without your help, our Rally won’t be a success!! Thanks everyone!

Seasons greetings to everyone from you’re almost new District Directors! Joy and I wish to pass on to you our best wishes for this time of year! The bikes at our home are all put away and tucked in for the season but that has not deterred us about the upcoming year and how exciting it will be. Please look at the Rally page for a teaser for this years rally in Alexandria on July 27th and 28th. We have more details about the rally to finalize but we want to make sure everyone gets their hotel reservations in early. The Holiday Inn is very excited to host our rally again this year and has been very agreeable to our request’s for accommodations! They have extended their patio area so that it can accommodate an outside Hot-Dog roast. They even have an area already dedicated for a bike wash, not to mention a much larger area for vendors inside.

Joy and I are very excited about this years rally and wish to pass that enthusiasm on to everyone. Our main objective is that EVERYONE has a good time and to have fun.
