Thank You & Ride Safe
Bruce & Barb Beeman
Minnesota District Directors
Here it is September and we are on the down side of your riding season already, can you just believe it. I would like to reflect a little; we had Wing Ding in your back yard this year. I sure hope if you haven’t been to one before, that you took it in being this close. Barb & I had a great time and were able to meet up with some old GW friends we haven’t seen for a while and made some new friends as well. Then it was on to your District Rally; what a party, if you missed it you really missed a lot of fun, just ask anyone that was there. I would again like to THANK all of you that made it a great success. Next year is stacking up to be even more fun. It will be held in Albert Lea, MN and there will be more info coming. You are going to want to save July 15 & 16, 2011. This is not a party to miss! We are already planning out the schedule and I can assure you one thing, it’s going to be a lot of FUN.
The next thing coming up is the Region E Rally over the Labor Day weekend. Want to meet some great people? Want to support Brian & Tammy Anderson as they represent our MN District in the Region E COY competition? Want to just have FUN? If you do then this is a must. Go on the Region E website and get registered. The theme this year is the 50’s. I’m really looking forward to it, hope we see you there.
Chapter Directors: we have some dates you are going to want to save; October 16th, Fall Ops, meeting in Buffalo, MN (address to follow) and March 12th Spring Ops, meeting at the host hotel Albert Lea, MN.

I want to remind everyone what to do to keep aware while riding. One don’t take
your motorcycle out of gear while stopped at a light.you should never take your
motorcycle out of gear while riding. When at a light if you take your motorcycle
out of gear & a car doesn’t stop while coming behind you. you don’t have enough
time to put your motorcycle back in gear & avoid the accident.two keep aware
where you are in your lane. Lane positioning is very important. If you tend to
ride in the middle of the lane you can change & ride on the left or right so
that you are more of a moving target so you are easier to see. People see a
moving target more than a stationary one.Three wear bright clothing. bright
colors are a lot easier to see than dark colors.you can also add reflective
strips to your helmets to be more visible at night. These are easy things to do
to increase awareness while riding. Remember that a lot of drivers are
distracted with cell phones and not looking for us. Please ride safely
