August! Summer is almost over. It has been a hot and windy summer, but we managed to get some riding in. We have had our weekly rides, and when the weekends are nice we have been out and about riding here and there. It seems like summer just flies by, because it wont be long and the little white flakes will be falling from the sky, and it will be cold, and windy, not hot and windy. So enjoy this all you can, as it ends all too fast.
Chapter I will be taking a Pizza Train ride on Aug. 21st. By the time you read this ride will be over. This ride is fun, and everyone seems to enjoy it. We did it about five years ago, and thought it would be nice to repeat something fun. The next thing on the list is the Davis Rally on the weekend after Labor Day. Some of us will be taking the trip down to New Hampton, Iowa for this. It is also a nice and fun rally.
Enjoy the rest of the summer and hopefully fall will be really nice also.
With fall coming up really fast, it is time to ride extra safely because the leaves will be falling from the trees and make the roadways a little slippery. Be very careful on the roads, and use all the safety tips you have learned.
