Hello everyone,
On the 4th, 5th, and 6th is the Region E Rally in Moline, Illinois.
The 10th, 11th, and 12th is the Davis Rally in New Hampton, Iowa. Also on the 11th and 12th we have a camping weekend at the Davis Rally. Meet at Todd & Pam Newkirk’s house at 8:00 am of the 11th. Please call Todd at 507-272-7547 for more information.
September 18th is the Chapter G Chilly Chili at 11:00 am. We will be leaving the Albert Lea Hy-Vee at 9:00 am. Also on the September 18th is our Chapter R Social at Trails Travel Center in Albert Lea at 6:00 pm.
Finally, on the 25th and 26th is Bruce’s Cranberry Ride weekend. Probably will be an overnight stay. If not it will just be a 1 day ride. Bruce will check on it and there will be more information at a later time.

In the past week I have seen several deer running all times of the day and as harvest nears, more & more varmints will be moving. Just last night a possum was wandering across the road and about two weeks ago,
I was coming up my driveway and there were several raccoons together. If you have ever hit a small animal, you know how much movement the bike makes. Hitting a deer is just like running into a brick wall. The point I am trying to make is with the fall season around the corner, even at high noon, watch out for moving animals as they appear from nowhere. The fall season also brings out the farm equipment with slow moving signs on them and at 55mph you are on them in no time.
The summer is going by at blazing speed, so let’s make the rest of the season safe and make sure you are aware of the surroundings.
